Pamela Puryear, PhD

D r. Pam is currently the Vice President of Organization Development and Chief Talent Officer at Hospira, the world’s leading provider of injectable drugs and infusion technologies. She is responsible for leading strategy and implementation of programs and services that impact employees globally in the areas of talent management, learning and development, employee engagement, organization culture, organization design, and cross-cultural diversity. Hospira has approximately 16,000 employees worldwide, and generates over $4 billion in sales.

Pamela Puryear, PhD

Prior to joining Hospira, Dr. Pam founded Claritas Consulting Group with the goal of providing blue-chip corporations and non-profits with access to an array of organization development services grounded in sound organizational management thinking and focused business metrics. With an MBA and a PhD, she worked with clients to manage their financial and human capital in an integrated way.  Dr. Pam joined Hospira, a former client, after serving as lead consultant with Claritas Consulting Group for 12 years.

Prior to launching a private consulting practice, Dr. Pam spent ten years in the real estate investment management industry, most recently as Vice President, Portfolio Manager at pension fund real estate advisor AMB Institutional Realty Advisors. In that post, she was responsible for investment and management decisions for a $250 million private Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).

Dr. Pam is a former member of the Affiliate Faculty of the Oliver Wyman Delta Organization & Leadership’s Executive Learning Center, and former Adjunct Faculty at the Presidio Graduate School.  She has also been a member of the Organization Development Network (ODN), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association (PCMA).  She is a former board member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the East Bay, and a current board member of Illinois Performance Excellence.

Dr. Pam received her BA in Psychology with a concentration in Organizational Behavior from Yale University and her MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business. She also holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP).
